Her advice to brides and grooms? “Don’t let yourself get overwhelmed by the craziness of planning your event. Relax, and focus on having fun!” She’s proud of the moments when she was able to help save the day by running out to replace a broken cake topper, or get a stain out of a wedding dress just in time, to name a few. Melissa loves spending time with her son and with her husband… who she met when his DJ company was working at a Hotels Unlimited wedding! We love a happy ending.
Catering Sales Coordinator, has been with Hotels Unlimited since 2009, and has been working in the wedding industry for over 14 years as a wedding entertainment planner. Before she started working at the Ramada, she worked with a DJ entertainment company… so loved weddings so much that perused her interest and gave her resume to the Versailles and the rest is history! She has worked in several departments and has played different roles from banquet captain, banquet manager, to catering coordinator. Her favorite part about working in the catering department is that each wedding is a new experience. She loves helping each and every couple plan the best day of their life. She believes that her biggest strength is her honestly & loyalty & that she will always give 110% and go above and beyond to make sure their day is exactly what they have always dreamt of.

His passion for event planning and knowing exactly what a bride or groom needs even before they do have earned him high praises. From bustling a bride’s dress to lining up the wedding party before the ceremony, to helping the groom and his groomsmen with their ties, Angel has done it all. General Manager of the Ramada Hotel & Suites of Toms River has been with Hotels Unlimited for 15 years. She has passion, motivation, and determination, but what makes her tick? The answer, Darlene loves to be challenged. She finds great joy in bringing her hotels and ballrooms up to their peak performance. She enjoys bringing her banquet and catering staff together and making sure everyone is working well as a team during events. “For success in hospitality, you need patience and an innate drive to help and serve others”, according to Darlene. When she is not bringing smiles to brides’ faces or motivating her team, Darlene enjoys hanging out with her two dogs, a Chocolate Lab named Max and a Saint Bernard named Amarone.
Executive Chef, has been working at Hotels Unlimited for over two decades. He started in 1999 as one of our dishwashers, and quickly worked his way up to sous chef, and to executive chef in 2008. Experience is no issue when it comes to Chef Echeverri, as he has acquired many skills working in all facets of the catering kitchen. His favorite part about being Executive Chef is making people happy when they taste his food. His biggest strength is that he is very passionate about his cooking and he loves to put his heart and soul into the food he delivers. He makes the most of his items from scratch, and that’s what he’s most proud to show his brides and grooms!
